Insurance Forms Required by EAA for
Chapter Events
EAA’s
liability insurance covers our chapter at no additional cost for Young Eagle Rallies and Class 1 events only. To insure that we are covered it is mandatory
that we fill out and send two different forms to the EAA national office. Depending on what the event is, you may need
to fill out and send only one form or both forms. This page should help you to decide which forms you need.
Chapter Young Eagle
Rallies
A Chapter/Squadron Young Eagles Rally is an event with flight activities
limited to transportation into and out of the insured premises (airport or
airfield) by the participants for the sole purpose of providing Young Eagle
flights to individuals between the ages of 8 and 17. If your Chapter or
Squadron is strictly providing Young Eagle flights, please complete a Chapter Young Eagles Rally Notice Form two weeks prior to the event taking
place. This form SHOULD NOT BE used if additional activities are being
conducted in conjunction with the Young Eagle flights, such as: pancake
breakfasts, static displays, picnics, RC demonstrations, etc. If the Chapter or
Squadron will be holding additional activities along with the Young Eagle
flights, please complete the Chapter/Squadron Event Form.
Class 1 Fly-In: Insurance - definition
A Class 1 Fly-In is a Chapter/Squadron event with flight activities limited to
