EAA
1158 Aviation Advancement Scholarship being awarded in Washington/Ozaukee
County.
The
Kettle Moraine Experimental Aircraft Association announces its intent to award
an Aviation Advancement Scholarship to a student pursuing a full time
educational major in an aviation related field.
The $1000 scholarship will be given in the first half of 2007 to an
applicant chosen by the organization. The
local chapter of the EAA has sought to endow this scholarship as a stepping
stone to a career in aviation for an individual in the Ozaukee or Washington
county area.
“The
ability to award this scholarship is a way for our organization to share its
passion for aviation with the community and supplement the education of a
dedicated young person from the community, noted Glen Brandt, president of the
local EAA chapter. The scholarship
is being awarded in memory of individuals who have left their mark on our
organization and the aviation community. We
seek to memorialize their efforts through this worthy donation.
High
school students or young adults interested in applying for this scholarship may
contact the Kettle Moraine EAA chapter at 262-338-8411, scholarship@eaa1158.org,
or download an application from the organization’s website, www.eaa1158.org. Students who intend to pursue a full time associate or
bachelor’s degree in an aviation related filed are encouraged to apply.
