Saturday, May 3, 2005 The airplane is attained.
Tuesday, May 10, 2005

This was the first work session on N2809U.  Presently the project work schedule is Tuesdays 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. and Saturdays 8:00 - 12:00 A.M.

The left wing was prepared for shipping for repair at the wing repair place.  This work included removing aileron, flap, gas tank, pitot tube and bellcranks.  All parts removed were labeled and stored on equipment racks in the project room.

 

This work took about two hours.  The following members were present: Bill Buettner, Jim Fox, Lester Hahn, Glen Brandt, Russ Kaye, Tom Calenberg, Dan Staehler and Ron Champeny.

Saturday, May 14, 2005 Work session included: prep work to send out right wing, remove seats, remove propeller and cowling.  The following members were present: Dan Staehler, Ron Champeny, Tom Calenberg, Lester Hahn, Russ Kaye and Jim Fox
Tuesday, May 17, 2005 Work session included: Removal of dorsal fin and rivets to be removed around windows were marked.  The following members were present: Tom Calenberg, Ron Champeny, Bill Buettner, Russ Kaye, Glen Brandt and Brian Sandberg
Saturday, May 21, 2005 Work session included: Removing rivets to remove windows and removal of upholstery on doors.  The following members were present: Dan Staehler, Russ Kaye, Ken Seidl, Tom Calenberg, Douglas Scholl, Bill Buettner, Howard Kaney and Glen Brandt

The hour and a half long work session included: Loading of wings for shipment, cleanup and scuffing of surface for paint removal.  The following members were present: Dan Staehler, Bill Buettner, Aran Eversman, Douglas Scholl, Tom Calenberg, Jim Fox, Glen Brandt, Brian Sandberg, Chris Good and Russ Kaye

Saturday, May 28, 2005 Work session included: Scuffing parts and airplane body for paint removal, removal of outer steps and we started stripping paint off of the airplane.  The following members were present: Dan Staehler, Tom Calenberg, Howard Kaney, Ken Seidl, Douglas Scholl, Jim Fox and Tom Ruhlman

Saturday, June 4, 2005 Work session included stripping and cleaning fuselage surfaces and removal of belly antenna.  The following members were present: Dan Staehler, Tom Calenberg, Glen Brandt, Doug Scholl, Bill Buettner, Dennis Davis, Ron Champeny, Lester Hahn, Sam Jozefacki
